After a gripping 5th set which had everyone at the edge of their seat, Roger Federer has done it again. The Swiss master has set the record now for the most Grand Slam wins at 15. Roddick took the first set, but Federer took the next two sets in 2 gripping tiebreaks that had the crowd assured of his victory in the next set. Roddick didn't give up from then and took the fourth 63, but then the fifth set was history. It was the longest 5th set in Wimbledon history which took 30 games to complete. Both players were winning their serves every game but Roddick was the one who broke in the end and Federer jumped with joy as he just won his 6th Wimbledon title. The score was 57 76(6) 76(5) 36 1614.
Federer and Roddick both gave congrats to each other and after the trophy ceremony Federer took pictures with tennis legends Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg and the man who Federer over took in most grand Slam titles, Pete Sampras.
Well done Federer, all the best to you and good luck at your next US Open. Good luck with your future child too!
