Federer and del Potro set up semi showdown


Roger Federer is now one more match away from another French Open final after beating the last French hope, Gael Monfils. After having a close encounter in the first set but finally taking it with a tie-break win, Federer got into the groove to beat Monfils in straight sets after a time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.
The score was 76(6) 62 64 and now Federer will take on rising star Juan Martin del Potro, who beat former Top 5 player Tommy Robredo also in straight sets to reach his first Grand Slam semifinal. The score was a solid 63 64 62 and now del Potro has a shot at making his first Grand Slam final.
