At this year's Gerry Weber Open, former champion Tomas Berdych started his campaign with a close win to compatriot Jan Hernych with a score of 64 75. Berdych was a champion of the event in 2007. But the main player who stood out today was surprisingly Lleyton Hewitt. Hewitt told newspapers that he has it in him to win another Wimbledon and this matched showed a perfect example of his belief. He played Eduardo Schwank of Argentina and completely nailed him with a score of 61 60. Tomorrow's play includes Novak Djokovic, Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Stay tuned!
