Federer relieved after mental battle

Roger Federer faced Tomas Berdych on Day 7 of play and received a scare of being two sets down, but then mentally picked it up with Berdych's forehand wearing down. Federer is now through to the quarterfinals with the score being a close 46 67(4) 64 64 62. What a relief!

Novak Djokovic on the other hand also had a close fourth round match but in four sets. Marcos Baghdatis pushed him hard in the second and third sets with Baghdatis taking the third in a tiebreak. The match was finished at 2:30 am local time with Djokovic taking the victory with the score being 61 76(1) 67(5) 62.

Other winners include Andy Roddick who took out Tommy Robredo in straight sets, and Juan Martin del Potro who sealed a win against Marin Cilic.
