Del Potro stays on course; and so does Djokovic

Juan Martin del Potro continued his superb run at the Heineken Open by beating Serbian Victor Troicki. The Serb had three break point opportunities in the first set, but the Argentine denied them all and took the match with a score of 63 62. David Ferrer had a walk-over into the next round because of a right shoulder injury, and John Isner lost to Robin Soderling.

In Sydney, Novak Djokovic also solidified his preparation for the Aussie Open with a win over Mario Ancic, the score being 63 64. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Lleyton Hewitt endured the same fate as John Isner, but Tsonga lost because of a back injury (walkover).
