Roddick wins on return; Tsonga upset


Top seeded Andy Roddick was in top form coming into the Legg Mason Tennis Classic. Roddick is looking to win his fourth title at the event and showed his confidence against Benjamin Becker of Germany by beating him with a score of 63 62. He will next face compatriot Sam Querrey who looks to be in top form. The match is expected to be a close one, with results showing that Querrey has a great record since Wimbledon by winning 14 of the 16 matches he has played.
Third seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was upset by another American, John Isner. Tsonga took the first set 64, but Isner then was more fit mentally by taking the tiebreaks in the next two sets. He sure pleases his home crowd and won with a score of 46 76(2) 76(4).
Other winners include Fernando Gonzalez, Robin Soderling, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Ivo Karlovic and Lleyton Hewitt.
