Murray snaps Federer-Nadal reign at the top

After Roger Federer's conqueror Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was set to face Andy Murray at the Montreal Masters, Andy Murray was able to defeat the Frenchman in straight sets with a score of 64 76(8) and set his game to a new height. He is now officially number two in the world rankings, which set to come out this Monday. He has broken the four year (from 18 July, 2005) dominance of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal at the top of the men's game and will now face the man who has beaten Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick on his way to the final. Juan Martin del Potro had to save a match-point in favor of Roddick to beat him in three sets with a score of 46 62 75, and will be in his first ever Masters final.
The head-to-head between the two is 3-1 in favor of Murray but who knows, maybe it will be a shocker this time.

Good luck to both!
