Nadal to face Roddick in semis

Rafael Nadal showed superb skills against Juan Martin del Potro in the quarters of the BNP Paribas. The Argentine dropped serve twice in the opening set and lost the first set 62. Nadal then was pushed a little more in the second set, but sealed victory in 1 hour, 49 minutes. The final score was 62 64.
Nadal will now face Andy Roddick, who surprised everyone by beating third seeded Novak Djokovic. The American lost just two points on his serve to win the first set. The second set saw Djokovic double fault to set up match point for Roddick. Djokovic then fired a backhand long to cease his hopes of defending his title. The final score was 63 62.
