American wildcards Ryan Sweeting and Wayne Odesnik were put against each other in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open, and boy did they put on a show!
Wayne Odesnik had no trouble sealing the first set 61, and it looked like everything was going according to plan for him. That is until Sweeting stepped up his game and caught Odesnik by surprise by taking the second set 64. The third set was all about who had more will, and that is when Sweeting proved too strong as he took the final set in a gripping tie-breaker which he won 7-5. Game, set and match... Ryan Sweeting.
Other winners include Tommy Haas and another wildcard Taylor Dent.
