Top three roll in Basel; Roddick stumbles in Lyon

The top three seeds all got through today in Basel, with compatriots Nalbandian and del Potro having to battle it out but Federer smoothly finishing off his opponent with a score of 62 63. Nalbandian winning with a score of 76(4) 64 in 1 hour and 43 minutes and del Potro winning with a score of 64 75 in 1 hour and 55 minutes. The Argentines will next meet eachother in the semifinals of the event which should be a very exciting match to watch.

Top seed Andy Roddick fell to Robin Soderling today though he had more aces(22 to 20) in the match, but still couldn't convert with a dissapointing score of 76(5) 76(5). Gilles Simon and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga also won today.

But the "other" Andy, as in Murray kept his winning streak going with another win over Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia and a tough score of 76(5) 75. The Scot beat the Serb in 2 hours and 10 minutes and secured his place in the semifinals of the event. Other winners include Fernando Verdasco and qualifier Andrey Golubev.
