Federer secures another title; Murray on red hot fire

Superb Roger Federer captured his third consecutive Basel title, this time with a win over David Nalbandian. Federer smacked 8 aces and lost only seven points on serve in the entire match to capture the title in just 68 minutes. His record over Nalbandian is now 10-8.

St. Petersburg didn't see their countryman Andrey Golubev take the title from Andy Murray, with splendid Murray securing his historic win with a score of 61 61 in just 56 minutes. With this win, Murray became the first British player since Mark Cox in 1975, to win consecutive titles on the tour.

Robin Soderling also captured a title in Lyon today with a win over Frenchman Julien Benneteau. This win ended a nearly three-year title drought for Soderling, with his last title win being in Milan in 2005. The score was 63 67(5) 61 and the match took 1 hour and 43 minutes. This win also marked Soderling's third title of his career on the tour.
