Roger Federer was in top form once again as he beaten Tommy Robredo in straight sets. The first set was a bit of a warm-up for Federer but the next two were all business as Roger got to the quarterfinals with a score of 75 62 62. Federer stays unbeaten at the US Open. Novak Djokovic also had the same luck against Radek Stepanek. Novak was sharp and focused from the start and didn't give Stepanek any chances to pressure him as he beat him with a score of 61 63 63.
Other winners include Robin Soderling who won after Nikolay Davydenko had to retire from a left thigh injury, and Fernando Verdasco who beat the last American in the draw John Isner.
