Andy Murray got his game together in the final at Rotterdam to defeat top seed Rafael Nadal with an impressive but hard fought score of 63 46 60. Murray became the first British winner of the tournament after Tim Henman got to three finals. Nadal had a right knee injury which set the tone for the rest of the match, with Nadal restricted in movement Murray was able to pull the trigger on important opportunities.
Tommy Robredo also tasted success after winning his eight ATP title at the Brasil Open over home favorite Thomaz Bellucci with a score of 63 36 64.
While in San Jose, California Radek Stepanek prevailed over home favorite Mardy Fish but not without a fight. Stepanek lost the first set but managed to get back and win with a score of 36 64 62.
