Rafael Nadal continued to rock at the Aussie Open with another easy win. This time he faced Croat Roko Karanusic and showed his dominance with a 62 63 62 victory in an hour and 37 minutes. He will next face former world number 2 Tommy Haas of Germany. Three time Aussie Open semifinalist Haas beat Flavio Cipolla of Italy 61 62 61 for his third round match-up with Nadal.
Andy Murray also won his encounter against 22 year-old Spaniard Marcel Granollers with an impressive score of 64 62 62. He will now face 31 seeded Jurgen Melzer of Austria in the third round. Ernests Gulbis had shock second round exit from 18th seeded Igor Andreev in a close five setter. Andreev gave it just enough to take the match with a score of 64 64 57 36 64. Gilles Simon and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga also enjoyed wins.
