Ferrer marches on

At the Ordina Open in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands third seeded David Ferrer had no problem brushing aside local wildcard Jesse Huta Galung with a solid score of 62 75. Second seeded Robredo on the other hand didn't get to play today because the match before his was stopped due to darkness.

While at the AEGON International in Eastbourne, all the top seeds didn't fail to satisfy and all went through to the next round with Dmitry Tursunov leading the pack as the second seeded player, for today.

Murray is the King of Queens; Haas takes Halle title

Andy Murray showed his top form today against James Blake at the AEGON Championships. He beat the American with a score of 75 64 and became the first Briton to win the tournament in 71 years. Murray will next hope to take the Wimbledon title which a British man is yet to win in 73 years.

“It's pretty special,” reflected Murray. “There have been some great grass-court players from Britain the last 70-odd years. Tim (Henman) and Greg (Rusedski) were both very good grass-court players. The names that are on the trophy, there's a lot of great, great players. So to be on that trophy is great. Obviously because it's not happened that a British player has won for so long, that makes it nicer.”

Novak Djokovic was shocked today by local favourite Tommy Haas as he was beaten in three sets with a score of 63 67(4) 61. Haas has ended a title drought of more than two years and has won his first title on grass.

Murray and Djokovic reach finals

The AEGON Championships will see home favourite Andy Murray in the final tomorrow after he effortlessly beat former world number one, Juan Carlos Ferrero. The world number three took care of business from the start as he demolished Ferrero with a score of 62 64. James Blake will play against him after Andy Roddick pulled out of their encounter with a right ankle injury when the score was 4-4 in the first set.

The Gerry Weber Open saw Novak Djokovic and local hope Tommy Haas make it to the final after Djokovic won in 2 sets, and Haas escaped from Kohlschreiber's trap.
